COASTAL CLIMATE WIKI - CoastalClimateWiki.org is a collaborative Web site established in 2009 by the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute. The purpose for the site is to provide a resource that links climate scientists with the outreach-based Sea Grant Climate Network. Funding for the project is through NOAA’s Climate Program Office’s Sectoral Applications Research Program (NOAA-SARP).

Here is a very broad resource portal for climate change education. It includes materials from international and national agencies, foundations, and other organizations. There are lesson plans, videos and a myriad of other resources for k-12, college, and university levels.

Here is an updated version of the document I posted in May and June. Again, this is a 5-pager with descriptions of climate change-related projects submitted by state programs. Feel free to suggest edits and continually send information on new projects or projects not included.

Maine Sea Grant edited and produced the report, Maine's Climate Future: An Initial Assessment of Climate Change in Maine. http://www.climatechange.umaine.edu/mainesclimatefuture/index.html

The report was submitted to the Governor in February and has stimulated a statewide climate adaptation stakeholder planning process. Esperanza Stancioff is representing Maine in that process.

Also please note the joint Maine-Oregon Coastal Community Resilience project. Stay tuned for more info this summer.

On May 14th, the NSGO requested recent information regarding climate change activities/projects from the Sea Grant Network to provide input for Jane Lubchenco's upcoming testimony before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. From the responses we received, we created and submitted the attached document. This document will be continually updated and used to highlight Sea Grant's work in climate change. Last week, 60 copies were distributed at the Sea Grant Regional Workshop.
We thank you for your input and ask that you continue to relay your climate change activities/projects to the NSGO so that we can better represent the network and demonstrate the ways in which Sea Grant is addressing climate change.

Another point from FL SG:
The Director of Florida Sea Grant and other members of the Florida Oceans and Coastal Council recently produced a climate primer for the State Legislature. This resource also has been provided to FL Congressional offices and over the next two years will serve as the foundation for presentations to mayors, county commissioners and other local decision makers.

To increase the effectiveness of Sea Grant climate programming and outreach nationwide.
