A Committee of the Assembly of Sea Grant Extension Program Leaders
Hi all,
NOAA's Climate Program Office has announced this FY 2011 funding opportunity. In the past, several of you have applied and been successful and our network's capabilities in this area continue to grow. Attention to the deadline: COB, EDT, September 10:
Announcement of FY2011 Funding Opportunity - Full Proposal due on September 10, 2010
Information on individual programs accepting project applications as part of the NOAA Climate Program Office's Announcement of FY2011 Funding Opportunity is now available, as well as information on how to submit a proposal. Full applications for all Competitions must be received by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 10, 2010.
In addition, the fiscal year 2011 funding opportunity is organized around a new structure for the Climate Program Office's grants programs. Applicants will find activities organized under four programs: Climate Observations and Monitoring; Earth System Science; Modeling Analysis, Predictions, and Projections; and Climate and Societal Interactions. Those of you familiar with/recipients of SARP projects, note that SARP has been incorporated within "Climate and Societal Interactions (CSI)," and that there are separate competitions for what is referred to as CSI-Water and CSI-Coasts.
The Climate Program Office is also introducing a new cross-cutting initiative focusing on "Improving NOAA's Climate Services for the Coastal Zone." As a reminder, information sheets (which specify the topics to be addressed) can be found on http://www.cpo.noaa.gov/index.jsp?pg=/opportunities/opp_index.jsp&a...
To increase the effectiveness of Sea Grant climate programming and outreach nationwide.
